Sorry for no pictures yet, but we've just been so busy & im trying to make captions for every picture so when I look back, I will know what it is!
Well the first 2 days in Madrid, the capital of Spain with a population like some 6 million people or something wild like that. It's really nice that we are kind of vacationing before we go to Sevilla because everyone thats doing the program is together and we get the opportunity to make friends which is nice, most of the students are from the east coast I'm finding. And I have to say Washington STATE because everyone thinks of DC first, not use to that.
We got a bus tour of Madrid and then went to an art museum to see 3 artists work, El greco(the greek), Velaquez, & Goya. We weren't aloud to take pictures but the paintings were amazing of course. Then we went to the palace of Madrid, it has 2000 rooms && took 21 years to build. It was truly breathtaking. We only went into maybe 20-25 rooms but they are all over the top incredible rooms, again we weren't aloud to take pictures.
Then, a group of us went to an irish pub to watch the futbol (soccer) game which was fun because the Spaniards are just loud and its entertaining. Then, we decided to go to a discoteca which was really fun, it was 4 storys && just super fun with lots of people and dancing, I definitely lost track of time easily and stayed out way too late because we had to get up early to go to Toledo.
Toledo is a 4000 old city of about 80,000 people and is more of a medieval style buildings and is surrounded by a river that was used for protection back in the day && it was just soooo beautiful. That's where I am now and then tomorrow we are off to Sevilla finally! I'm not looking forward to the 5-6 hour bus ride, good for sleep I guess. I think I will work on the pictures then.
My phone was suppose to work but it hasnt been working, and not that my mom didn't know I was ok but it was just the thought that I just couldn't call home and that made me homesick and really want to talk to my mom. When I finally could, she told me my Great Aunt is going to pass away which really makes me sad and super homesick because she is like my favorite Aunt. So tonight I think I'll give to myself to cope && then I can go back to enjoying Spain, which I know she would want.
Well thats all I got! Ohhh well also, i'm not so good with directions :) haha should be interesting
&& my straightener won't work && when I plugged in my Macbook to my converter/adapter thing, it blew it up so now I need to get a new one of those too, ughh
