Today was my bday so here was the outlay:
1. I got early to get books and then went to the one class I have on Tuesdays
2. Lost my metro card and when I went to buy a new one, the machine took my money but I got no card back so I had to talk with the security guard who had to call it in and try to help me out. It took about 30 minutes and I finally got my metro pass all sorted out. While that was all going on I had to use my spanish to explain the situation and I had some small talk with the guard while we waited. I could understand everything they were saying and it seemed like they could understand me too! They said i was really good at Spanish which made me really happy.
3. Our host mom made us a really sweet lunch with chickpeas and she actually sat down with us and ate with us because it was my birthday. She also made me this Flan like thing and it was good, just a weird texture for me.
4. Then I thought our host mom was going to take us to the "factory" which is an outlet mall outside of the city with good prices, but she really just took us to the free bus stop and like sent us on our way like it was our first day of kindergarden or something haha but the outlet mall was REALLY neat, I will go back just for the AMAZING "churros rellados" its a giant churro filled with hot chocolate!! mmmm (: heres me and my churro:
Then, after we got back from shopping, we got ready for our tapas bday dinner. We went to this bar called Levies, about a 25 minute walk from where we live and a bunch of my friends and I just order 1/2 portions of different tapas and drinks and then split the tab, which they paid for me which was so nice!

&& It was a really good birthday (: I got an email from my momma too and lots of love from here and back home!
Now, I'm off to skype my mom even tho she is at work just to say hi on my bday and then hit the hay because its almost midnight and I have class in the morning!
